Llanishen RFC are looking to start a women’s section in the Club and we are recruiting players, coaches and volunteer managers to assist with our ambitious future plans for a thriving women & girls section in the club.

You could be new to the game or a current or returning player – we want to hear from you.

No previous rugby experience is necessary however, only a desire to try a new sport and have fun.

You could be someone who wants to try their hand at coaching or managing a team. We will be there to mentor and help you along.

Our plan is to register interest over the next few weeks and then hold an initial meeting so you can meet coaches and players and set the scene. We would then commence introductory sessions for you.

We are not looking at starting off in the deep end! Our sessions will be geared towards having fun, learning the sport, developing a squad of players and enjoying getting fit together. Yes our eventual aim is to play some friendly matches, but we will get to that point when we are ready.

About Llanishen RFC

Llanishen Rugby Football Club is a Welsh Rugby Union Club based in Llanishen in the North of Cardiff. Today, Llanishen RFC’S 1st XV plays in the Welsh Rugby Union’s Division Two East Central League. The club has a wide player base and in addition to its senior sides run a Youth Squad and a Mini & Junior Section that has teams from Under 7’s to Under 16’s. New Players are always welcome.

The Club will be constructing a new 3G pitch and changing facility at Llanishen High School during the season and has ambitions to run a Women’s team in the not too distant future.
