Battling performance but 2s lose.

The 2s travelled to Clwb Rygbi Cardiff for a league fixture.

Llanishen dominated the early part of the game and took the league with a Carl Tyers penalty, the hosts came back and tied the score with a penalty of their own. Both sides wanted to play open rugby but plenty of whistle and the giving of yellow cards, two for  Llanishen players and one from CRC frustrated efforts.

Llanishen regained the lead while these players were off the pitch, Tyers jinking his way down a narrow space near the touchline to score in the corner then adding a suoerb conversion, and then shortly after he extended the lead with another penalty.

With the last play of the half CRC got a converted try, half time score CRC 10 Llanishen 13.

The early part of the second half was pretty even Llanishen eventually extending their lead with a try from Sam Beckett. CRC pulled back to within a point with another converted try, Llanishen thought they had scored again when after a CRC knock on, Josh James gathered the ball and crossed, however it was not to be and eventually Llanishen were simply awarded a scrum.

The home side then used their greater pace to score two converted tries to go into the lead for the first time. Despite battling hard Llanishen couldn't get another score and with the last play the home side got another try awarded.

Final score CRC 31 Llanishen 18.
