Emphatic wins for 2s

Llanishen entertained Clwb Rygbi Caerdydd, the fixture being switched due to problems with CRCs pitch. The home side started strongly and took an early lead when wing James Chapman crossed in the corner and shortly after all action flanker Dan Coombs went over, both conversions were missed but Tom Ryall kicked a penalty to extend the lead. Shortly before half time the visitors got a try in the corner to give a half time score of Llanishen 13 CRC 5. Shortly in the second half, Liam Barnard crossed for a thid try, which he converted and then replacements Noah Callaghan and Grant Coates (2) also got tries, Barnard adding two conversions. Late on Chapman and Callaghan both got their second tries, Barnard converting one for a final score of 51 - 5. With several new signings and former players returning, the future looks bright after the struggles of last season. CRC also deserve credit for battling to the end in a game that was a cerdit to Cardiff and District rugby. With the 1s and Youth teams aslo winning it was a great day for the club.
