Llanishen 2s travelled up to village side Pentyrch for a Cardiff and District Cup match. The visitors opened the scoring with a Keiron Maguire penalty, but the rest of the half was dominated by the home side, Llanishen not showing the form that has given them a 100% record in the league. Two tries, one converted, gave Pentyrch a 12 - 3 lead at half time. Llanishen needed a good start to the second half, but it was Pentyrch who scored next, another unconverted try extending their lead. However this seemed to spur the visitors into action, Nathen Llewellyn followed up a kick ahead to cross under the posts, Maguire converting and following a period of pressure centre Rhys Hodgson got another, with Maguire again adding the extras. A period of pressure on the home line could not be converted into another score and the home side had the last word, kicking a penalty to give a final score of Pentyrch 20 Llanishen 17.
